Following their thriller last week, Rey Mysterio and Andrade collided in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match, and unlike last week, Zelina Vega would not be able to get involved, as she was barred from ringside.

The Superstars dazzled the WWE Universe yet again with a match that was enthralling and strategic in equal measure. The first fall was decided when Andrade unbelievably powerbombed Mysterio off the top rope to pick up the three-count, but Mysterio fired back with an absurd flipping piledriver to secure a fall of his own.

And then, with it all on the line, it appeared Mysterio was closing in on victory when he hit the 619 and got in position to Drop the Dime, but Samoa Joe blindsided Mysterio and decimated him with a powerbomb onto the apron. The Samoan Submission Machine doubled down on his efforts by ramming Andrade into the ring post and refocusing on Rey, savagely applying the Coquina Clutch. Joe grabbed a microphone and roared that he planned on doing this type of damage to every man that crossed his path in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match this Sunday, but he was met with a blindside attack of his own when Randy Orton struck suddenly with an RKO outta nowhere.

Orton then put up three fingers, perhaps suggesting that he would win his third Royal Rumble Match this Sunday night.

MEMPHIS — Braun Strowman is out of the Universal Championship Match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

The dramatic shift in The Monster Among Men’s fortunes came after a tumultuous start to Raw that saw him go from promising victory against Brock Lesnar to chasing Baron Corbin throughout the backstage area when The Lone Wolf questioned Strowman's chances against The Beast. Strowman found his prey holed up in a limousine in the loading dock (Elias provided the key tip-off in song) and tore the door off the limo with his bare hands to smoke out The Lone Wolf, only to find himself face-to-face with the vehicle's intended passenger, and the only man who could possibly intimidate Strowman more than Lesnar: Mr. McMahon.

The Chairman was, obviously, less than pleased that The Gift of Destruction had decimated his ride. Furious, really, is a more apt description. So much so that he levied a $100,000 fine against Strowman. That might have been that, but when The Monster Among Men raised his voice, The Chairman upped the ante by calling off the Universal Title Match and walking away. Braun replied by flipping over Mr. McMahon’s limo in frustration, an impressive display that doesn’t hide the fact that Strowman let his long-awaited opportunity slipped right through These Hands. And with the most monstrous player off the board, the Universal Title field is wide open.

RONDA ROUSEY VS. NIKKI BELLA CONFIRMED FOR WWE EVOLUTION

With The Bellas turning against Ronda Rousey tonight, the Raw Women's Championship match for Evolution is now official.

Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Nikki Bella at the October 28 pay-per-view in Long Island, New York. Dave Meltzer first reported that the match was planned for Evolution on the August 19 edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

On Raw tonight, Rousey teamed with The Bellas against The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) in a rematch from Super Show-Down. Rousey submitted Riott with an armbar, and Nikki and Brie Bella both attacked Rousey in a post-match angle. Rousey tried to fight back but was laid out by being thrown into the post, steel steps, and barricade,

WWE then uploaded a video where Brie said Rousey was taking their spotlight. Nikki said they're here to remind everyone that this is a "Bellalution."

As the build to Evolution picked up on Raw, it was also revealed that Alexa Bliss would be teaming with Mickie James against Trish Stratus & Lita at the PPV. Bliss vs. Stratus and James vs. Lita were originally announced as singles matches.
