Railcar manufacturer Alstom is hosting a METRONET railcar project supplier and networking event in Perth next Thursday 14 November.

Alstom was recently announced by the State Government as the preferred proponent to build the 246 new C-series railcars for the METRONET railcar project.

Manufacturing and supply chain contractors are encouraged to attend the forum to get an overview of the METRONET railcar project, to hear about local procurement processes, supply chain opportunities, apprenticeship training and Aboriginal engagement.

A representative from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation will provide information on how suppliers can access the METRONET Railcar Procurement Local Capability Fund round. There will also be a Q&A and networking opportunity after the presentations.

The event takes place at the Novotel Langley in Perth from 8.30am on Thursday 14 November. Please register your attendance by contacting Katie Hills at katie.hills-ext@alstomgroup.com by Monday 11 November.
