The WWE has truly embraced social media and is typically very good at it, with nearly every WWE superstar engaging with fans on Twitter — but February has been a rough month for the company. One week after explicit photos of Seth Rollins surfaced on Twitter, Cesaro’s account was compromised early Monday morning and someone posted a series of Tweets pleading with the WWE to give the wrestler a push.

Cesaro, who won the inaugural Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX, has enjoyed spells as a United States Champion but hasn’t yet been elevated to a main-event character. In a revealing podcast with Stone Cold Steve Austin last December, Vince McMahon said that Cesaro lacked the charisma and the “it” factor to be one of the company’s leading stars. In response, the hacker had some very harsh words for McMahon.

Listen as we discuss how to discover God's plan & know what He wants you to do when making decisions - whether they be big or small.

KEY TAKEAWAYS ABOUT KNOWING GOD'S PLAN IN DECISION-MAKING

  • We must first surrender our will to God, choosing to genuinely seek what He wants, not what we want.

  • If something is part of God's plan, it will pass all four of these tests (listen to hear us explain each in more detail):
  1. Scripture
“no special guidance will ever be given about a point on which the Scriptures are clear, nor could any guidance ever contradict the Scriptures”
  2. Providential circumstances
“It is never a sign of divine leading when the Christian insists on opening his own way, riding roughly over all opposing things. If the Lord “goes before” us, He will open the door for us. We will not need to batter down doors for ourselves.”
  3. Our convictions / higher judgment
“When we study and meditate on God’s Word, His laws are written on our hearts. Thus our judgment and common sense will be based on Biblical concepts.”
  4. Inner impressions of the Holy Spirit
“We must never forget that ‘Impressions’ can come from other sources as well as from the Holy Spirit.”
  • It's essential that we first obey in other areas He's revealed His will or convicted us.
  • God's plan isn't always revealed in an "ah-ha" moment. Sometimes we gradually become more and more sure as we pray, surrender and trust, and as He continues to teach us and all four tests fall into place. (I explain this more & share an example in the episode.)
  • Personally, I've seen God reveal His plan by bringing multiple Scriptures to my mind. (I explain how this works in the podcast.)
  • As a wife, there have been times where God showed me I was to defer to my husband's leading,  especially in big decisions that affected our whole family.

RESOURCES

Cumulative exam time can be pretty intimidating for students, especially when they have one in every class.

And for teachers, preparing kids for exams can be a bit of a balancing act. Not only do we have limited classroom time, but we also need to determine just exactly how much help we should give students. We must balance the need to help them prepare for this particular test with the goal of teaching them to be able to study independently for exams by the time they graduate.

Because of this, how we prep students for exams will vary drastically depending on their age. When I help 8th graders prepare for their first cumulative exam ever, I do a lot of hand-holding. But with seniors, much more of the responsibility needs to rest on them.

HOW TO HELP STUDENTS PREPARE FOR EXAMS

  1. Give them lots of ideas of how they can study based on different learning styles. Talk with them about different ways to study. I had one friend who wrote out a study sheet for herself – and that was it. By the time she physically wrote out everything, she pretty much had it down. I hated writing stuff out, so I would simply review my notes. Others need to quiz each other or use notecards. Talk about lots of different ways to study and encourage your students to figure out what works for them.

  2. Narrow down the topics. How much you narrow down the topics will depend on the level of the course, but it always helps to give students a more clear view of what’s going to be on their exam.

  3. Give students a list of topics that could be on the exam. With younger grades, create a list of every topic that they need to study. Older grades can still benefit from a list, even if it’s just a list of all the topics you’ve studied that year. That’s because a list gives them something to check off. Throughout your review time, encourage students to mark their topic list, crossing off things that they already know and highlighting or putting a star by things they know they need to study.

  4. Have the students work, not you. Don’t just stand in front of the class and frantically try to review everything. Instead, the students should be the ones looking up concepts in their notes and trying to remember how to solve problems. The more actively involved the students are, the more they will be focused and engaged, and the more they will remember.

  5. Have students complete worksheets. Give students worksheets to complete that review the material that will be on the exam. Consider allowing them to work in groups and/or requiring them to finish for homework whatever they do not complete in class. Then go over them together so the students can have their questions answered.

  6. Play review games. My rule with review games is that they cannot waste our class time. So I only play games that are quick and keep the focus where it needs to be – on the review questions. Get a list of review games that won’t waste your time here.  I share them in my book Create Your Dream Classroom.

  7. Have students write quizzes for each other. When students write their own quiz questions, they engage more deeply with the material. So have them write a 5-10 question quiz, then have them exchange with another student and take each other’s quiz. Finally, they are to grade the quiz they wrote and discuss any wrong answers with the student who took their quiz.

  8. Give students a practice exam. This is a great way to help students diagnose how prepared they are. Typically the last review day we have, I will give a practice exam – a short, ungraded test that has similar questions as what will be on the exam. We then go over it during the second half of class.

The most senior member of the Catholic Church to be found guilty of child abuse has lost an appeal against his conviction.

Former Vatican treasurer, Cardinal George Pell, was sentenced to six years in jail in March for a string of sexual assaults on teenagers.

He was ordered to serve a minimum of three years and eight months before being eligible for parole.

On Wednesday a Victoria state appeals court ruled 2-1 to uphold Pell's convictions. His lawyers have said they will appeal to the high court, his last chance to overturn his conviction.

Cardinal Pell was found guilty of sexually abusing 13-year-old choir boys 22 years ago in the priests' sacristy of St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne, where he was archbishop at the time.

He was convicted of abusing two boys whom he had caught drinking sacramental wine in a rear room of the cathedral in late 1996, as hundreds of worshippers were streaming out of Sunday services.

He was also found guilty of assaulting one of the boys in a corridor more than a month later.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said Cardinal George Pell will be stripped of his Order of Australia honour.

Following a heated altercation after their SummerSlam rematch last week on WWE 205 Live, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak and Oney Lorcan were tasked with each choosing a team of Superstars to battle in a 10-Man Captain’s Challenge Tag Team Elimination Match.
Gulak chose Ariya Daivari, Mike Kanellis, Angel Garza and his former friend and rival Tony Nese. Conversely, Lorcan selected Gentleman Jack Gallagher, Humberto Carrillo, Akira Tozawa and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.

With the two teams staring each other down before the opening bell, a chaotic brawl broke out that left Lorcan’s squad standing tall. Capitalizing on the early advantage, Gallagher gave each member of his team an umbrella, and they collectively ascended a corner and leapt off, taking down the rival squad. Gulak and his team regrouped, and the two captains officially started the match.

As expected, the bout was fast-paced and a showcase of some of the Cruiserweight division’s finest athletes, including cousins Carrillo and Garza squaring off against one another. Garza proved he fit right in with Gulak, distracting the official while his team imposed their will on Carrillo.

Breaking free of Tozawa’s Iron Octopus, Kanellis tossed The Stamina Monster into the ropes, knocking Gallagher off the apron. As Tozawa was distracted, Kanellis capitalized and dropped the Japanese Superstar to score the first elimination.

Kanellis’ celebration was short-lived, as he was quickly dropped by Gallagher’s trademark headbutt and eliminated. Daivari pulled the rope down on Gallagher, forcing him to the outside and allowing the staggered Nese enough time to recover and drop Gallagher with a Sunset driver to pick up another elimination.

As the match continued with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott battling Nese and Garza in the ring, an argument between The Brian Kendrick, Akira Tozawa and Gentleman Jack Gallagher broke out in the backstage area, with Kendrick accusing Gallagher of causing Tozawa to lose, resulting in a challenge from The Man with a Plan for a singles match next week.

Back inside the ring, Gulak and his team isolated Scott, each taking turns keeping the incredibly agile Superstar on defense with targeted strikes and a variety of technical holds. Displaying incredible resilience, “Swerve” fended off Garza, but he fell victim to a Running Nese after The Premier Athlete took down Lorcan and Carrillo. Fortunately for Scott, Lorcan made a tag unbeknownst to Nese.

Battling back and forth with The Boston Brawler, Nese enjoyed a brief advantage but was soon caught in Lorcan’s Half and Half following a series of counters and was eliminated.

Finding a second wind, Scott took the fight to all three remaining members of Gulak’s team and nearly took out Garza. However, after the pin was broken up by Gulak, Scott and The Philadelphia Stretcher exchanged blows before a distraction by Daivari allowed Gulak to execute the Cyclone Crash and eliminated Scott.

With his team enjoying a 3-on-2 advantage, Gulak tasked Angel Garza with beating down his high-flying cousin. As a result, Carrillo found himself on the receiving end of a delivery of punishment from Garza, Gulak and Daivari. Mustering enough energy to fend off his cousin, Carrillo tagged in Lorcan who dismantled Gulak’s team with his pure, unbridled rage.

In a desperate effort to stop Lorcan’s berserker rage, Gulak unloaded on Lorcan with a steel chair, causing himself to be disqualified. Despite being eliminated, Gulak continued to unload on his nemesis before leaving ringside.

Facing Garza and Daivari as Lorcan reeled from Gulak’s attack, Carrillo was knocked off the top rope by his cousin, allowing the two remaining members of Gulak’s team to unleash their most diabolical machinations.

The ever-resilient Carrillo battled back and made the tag to a recovered Lorcan, who unleashed on The Persian Lion. Feeling the effects of Gulak’s attack, Lorcan was countered with a superkick. Rolling away from the Persian Lionsplash and ducking a Hammerlock Lariat, Lorcan rolled up Daivari to score the elimination.

Leaving the cousins to clash once more, Garza and Carrillo battled back and forth, incredibly one-upping each other, including Garza taking his cousin out of mid-air with a dropkick. Carrillo took advantage with a missile dropkick that forced his cousin to the other side of the ring. Quickly capitalizing, Carrillo ascended the ropes and delivered an Aztec Press to score the final elimination and the victory, as he and Lorcan were the two surviving team members.

A high school coach must have some formal education. Learn about the education, job duties and licensure requirements to see if this is the right career for you.
High school coaches motivate, instruct, and coach high school athletes. Their primary responsibility is improving the performance of these athletes. They are typically required to have a bachelor's degree and state teaching credentials.

Essential Information

By working with high school students interested in sports, a high school coach provides the necessary practice, support and advice for the team to be successful against opposing teams in a sports season. Possessing a bachelor's degree and a state teaching certification is often required for this career. Requirements for high school coaches also often include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, a background check, drug testing and job training. Communication and leadership skills are also necessary.

High School Coach

A high school coach has to be familiar with the rules and regulations of the sports they plan on coaching. This is acquired through playing and studying the sport. There are no specific education requirements for high school coaches, but many possess a bachelor's degree in sports science, exercise, kinesiology, fitness, physical education or physiology. Additionally, many teachers work as high school coaches in part-time positions. If a high school coach goes this route, they also have to meet the necessary requirements to be employed as a high school teacher.

Job Description

High school coaches typically work in teaching positions with the school. When they aren't performing their teacher duties, a high school coach has to work additional hours during the sports season. This can result in a work week over 40 hours. Working nights, holidays, evenings and weekends are common for high school coaches. Additionally, they may coach several different sports throughout the year depending on their official position within the school. A high school coach has to be prepared to work in bad weather and be willing to travel with the team to different locations for games. They also run the risk of injury due to being on the sidelines during sports games.

Job Duties

A high school coach holds tryouts for students of a high school to attend. By observing the students' skills with trials and practices, a high school coach then decides who makes the team. With an organized team, the high school coach then begins to train the students throughout the preseason process. The coach assigns everyone specific positions and comes up with drills and organized game strategies.

After the season starts, the high school coach arrives at every game and guides their team throughout the match-ups. If any necessary changes have to be made during the game, they will be in charge of authorizing and implementing them. High school coaches continue this process throughout the year with different sports they're assigned.

Job Requirements

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), high school coaches employed with local schools need to meet state certification requirements (www.bls.gov). A coach has to be trained in CPR and partake in any necessary training or education programs required by the state. If an examination or other requirements need to be completed, then a high school coach completes them prior to working. Schools generally work with their high school coaches to get them certified with the state.

A high school coach must also possess leadership and communication skills. He or she has to set an example for the players, and having these skills allows a high school coach to inspire players and work with them on improvement. The BLS also noted that schools require high school coaches to complete a drug test and a background check.

Employment Outlook and Salary Information

The BLS reported that jobs for coaches and scouts are expected to increase 6% between 2014 and 2024, mainly due to overall population growth and more individuals participating in coached sports. As of May 2015, the BLS listed the median annual salary of coaches and scouts at $31,000.

High school coaches help high school athletes with understanding the techniques required to compete in sports and competitions. Many high school coaches have a bachelor's degree and state teaching credentials. They also participate in CPR training and a thorough background investigation.
